Lindsey Anderson (Smith) Trapp

May 1, 1986 ~ April 1, 2023 (age 36) 36 Years Old

Obituary

Lindsey Trapp of Denver, Colorado unexpectedly passed away on April 1, 2023 a few days after suffering a series of basilar artery strokes.

She is survived by her loving husband, Peter Trapp and their precious, much-loved daughter, Viola Trapp.

Lindsey is survived by her parents, Barry and Lori Smith of Southlake, TX, sister Haley Helen Recer of New York, sisters Allison Wood and Meredith Casey and brother Eric Smith, maternal grandmother Ann Sawyers, many nieces, nephews and uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family.

Lindsey was born May 1,1986 in Dallas, TX, was graduated from Southlake Carroll Senior High School in 2004, where she was a member of the high school marching and concert bands, was graduated from Kansas State University 2008, Cum Laude, and received her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from University of Denver Law School 2013. From Kansas State, Lindsey holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management, and was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority.

She practiced law in Denver until 2017, when she made a career shift to being a recruiter for attorneys in the Denver area and the mountain west. She enjoyed getting to know her candidates and clients and helping both attorneys and firms find their ideal fit.

Lindsey attended Fellowship Denver Christian Church, was involved in small group Bible studies and fellowship activities. She celebrated her first Easter in Heaven in April 2023.

Lindsey enjoyed many activities; the food science of brewing beer, cooking and entertaining family and friends, hiking in the mountains, working out, book club, attending concerts, but most of all she cherished the time spent with her husband Pete and their daughter Viola.

Lindsey had a huge heart and a gift for looking at the humorous side of life. She was skilled at helping others feel at home and accepted, she was ever-dressed in kindness, and she was never afraid to laugh at herself. She will be missed for the loving, genuine, generous, person that captured our hearts in so many ways. We love you always.

Through Lindsey’s thoughtfulness, her organs were donated through Donor Alliance in which five recipients received an opportunity at new life.

A memorial service to honor and remember Lindsey will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Fellowship Denver Church 1990 S Broadway, Denver CO 80210.
