Cecilia (Cedie) Anne Turner was born January 3, 1943, in Washington, D.C., to Charlotte L. and John R. Horan. She attended Catholic school from grade school through high school in Washington, D.C., and finishing school in Switzerland. Cedie graduated Metropolitan State College summa cum laude with three majors in English, literature, and history. She was a freelance reporter for The Capitol Reporter and Eastern Colorado News. She served on the Bennett Fire Rescue Squad as an EMT and Firefighter. At the age of sixteen she went to work at her mother’s title company, Lyon, Roach & Horan, in Washington, D.C., which paved the way to becoming a leading, expert title closer in her fifty-plus-year career in Denver, Colorado. She worked for Wood Brothers Homes, Crane Homes, United Title, and Fidelity Title. In her spare time, Cedie raised cattle with her husband, Paul, and partners Wayne Miller and Gary Piper in Watkins, Colorado.
Cedie is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Paul Joseph Turner, Sr. She leaves behind a sister Rose Horan-Burton and brother Jimmy Horan; children Kelly Dasbach Bradley (Pee Wee), and Stacey Mulvana, Paul J. Turner, Jr. (Cindy), and Joanne Paderanga (Dennis (deceased)); grandchildren Melissa Dasbach (Tim Shelton), Steven Dasbach (Deidra Diaz), Duane Shoaf (Karen), Jesse Bradley (Jamie), Jessica Laura (Ricky), Anthony Paderanga (Kimberly Amaya), Katie Grillo, Chris Turner (Amanda), and Jeff Turner (Jenn); and great grandchildren Dhanavan Rashad, Duane Shoaf, Ella Shoaf, Jamessee Bradley. Jamesson Bradley, Sofia Laura, Alexandra Laura, Dorothy Paderanga, Selene Paderanga, Carson Turner, Makenna Turner, Jacob Turner, and Cameron Turner.
