Obituary

In the quiet whispers of the wind, in the laughter of a babbling brook, in the rustling leaves of an ancient forest, we hear the voice of Steven James Cutler. A voice not silenced, but transformed, echoing through the corridors of time and space. Born under the tender Oregon sky on the 5th of March in 1999, Steven was a beacon of light, illuminating the world around him until his departure on the 23rd of May, 2024.

Steven was an adventurous soul, his spirit as vast and infinite as the Colorado mountains he loved to hike. He was a creative genius, his pen was his sword, and his words, his shield. His humor was infectious, and he had a knack for spinning joy out of the ordinary. He was smart, not just in the academic sense, but in understanding the intricate tapestry of life. He found solace in the melodies of music, the rhythm of the universe echoing in the strumming of his guitar. His telescope was his portal, peering into the mysteries of the cosmos, a testament to his endless curiosity.

Mark Twain once said, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started." Steven embodied this spirit, in every facet of his life. He was never married, but he was deeply in love with life, embracing every opportunity for adventure. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend. He is survived by his loving mother, Maria Pilar Cutler, and his sisters, Shirley Jean Evans, Lisa Reed and Michelle Hutchison, his only living grandmother Adela Solis, many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. All of whom he held dear to his heart. He follows in the footsteps of his father, Donald James Cutler, their shared adventurous spirits now united in the realm beyond.

In memory of Steven, a service will be held at the Cross of Glory Lutheran Church at 1991 South Oneida Street, Denver, Colorado, 80224, on Saturday, the 22nd of June, 2024, at 1:00 pm MDT. As we gather to celebrate his life, we remember not just his passing, but the joy, the laughter, and the love he brought into our lives. We ask you please wear his favorite color blue or you wear white.

We invite you to share your memories, your stories, and your pictures of Steven on his memorial page. Let us remember him as he was, full of life, full of dreams, full of love. May his spirit live on, in our hearts, in our memories, in the echo of his laughter, in the words he wrote, in the songs he played. Here's to Steven - the adventurer, the musician, the dreamer. May his star forever shine bright in the constellation of our memories.
