Stanley Bert Weaver, known as Stan to his family and friends, was born on May 3, 1954, in Peoria, Illinois. While his roots were in Illinois, he made his life in Colorado, where the mountains and the outdoors became an important part of who he was. Stan had a passion for riding his motorcycle and enjoyed collecting knives, a hobby he took great pride in.

Stan worked as a Construction Foreman and ultimately for the Colorado Department of Transportation until his retirement in 2020. He was dedicated to his work and the role he played in supporting others. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." His life reflected a commitment to being of service.

Stan is survived by his family, who will carry his memory with them. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Dodge-Weaver; his daughter, April DeLaCruz; step-sons, Scott and Ryan MacTaggart; brothers David, Edward, and Jim Weaver; sisters Brenda Asher and Julie Strohmarier and their families; niece Sheela Da Silva; grandsons Charlie and Chance Yocum, Callen and Grayson MacTaggart; and daughter-in-law Katie MacTaggart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Alma Weaver, and sister, Sandra Seipel.
