Obituary

Samuel Enriquez Garcia, better known as Sammy, Uncle Fat Fat to those who loved him most, made his grand departure on May 7, 2024. Born on April 14, 1976, in Denver, Colorado, Sam's life was an exciting ride that never failed to bring smiles, laughter, and moments of awe to everyone who had the pleasure of being a part of it.

Our beloved Sam was a man of many talents, but his most prominent roles were as a Guest Ambassador for the Colorado Rockies and as a dedicated member of the Denver Barbarians Wheelchair Rugby Club. His passion for space was only rivaled by his love for collecting sports cards, a hobby that often found him buried in a pile of cards, much to the amusement of his family and friends. Sam was also a proud graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver with Honors, an achievement he was very proud of. He worked very hard to get his driver's licenses despite his disability. Despite his many accomplishments, what mattered most to Sam was his family. He was a beacon of love, a source of amusement, and a pillar of strength for all of them.

In the spirit of 1 Corinthians 16:14, "Let all that you do be done in love," Sam lived his life with abundance of love and kindness. He extended his hand to those in need whenever he could, a testament to his selfless nature. Sam is survived by his loving family, his mother Dorothy Hernandez, his siblings Saadia(Doug) Naiman, Hugo(Tasha) Garcia, Monique(Jacob) Ford, Tammy(Terance) Rosson, his daughter Samara Garcia, his son's Sam and Isaiah Garcia, all of his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Enriquez.

In honor of Samuel's life, we encourage everyone to upload their favorite photos and share their fondest memories of him on his memorial page. Sam, Sammy, or Uncle Fat Fat, as he was affectionately known, will forever be remembered for his heartwarming smile, his infectious laughter, and his boundless love for his family. So, let's celebrate his life by sharing our memories, echoing his laughter, and keeping his spirit alive in our hearts.
