We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Robert Allen Withers, our beloved father, husband, and friend, who departed this world on July 21, 2025 at the age of 68. Rob was born in Rochester, MN, on September 10, 1956 and lived in Minnesota for the majority of his life. Three years ago he and Nancy moved to Colorado for the sunshine, the mountains, and the ability to spend more time in nature.

Rob graduated from Mayo High School in Rochester with the Class of 1975. He went on to study at Gustavus Adolphus College before completing his degree at the University of Minnesota in 1979.

Rob was a smart, accomplished man whose career in finance spanned decades. Despite his busy career, he found time for his hobbies. He had a passion for golf, exercise, sports, and spending time with his family and friends.

Rob had a strong Christian faith. He served as a deacon at Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina, MN and his faith was a source of strength in his life. He was an active member and enjoyed studying scripture through Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) through the years.

Rob is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Nancy, and his beautiful daughters, Lauren (Yann) Mulonda of St. Paul, MN and Julia Withers (Nicolo Bagli) and his only grandson Luca Bagli of Denver, CO, as well as sister Melissa Withers of Scottsdale, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marjorie Withers and sister Sharri Withers.

As we mourn the loss of Rob, we also celebrate his life and his legacy of love, laughter, and faith that will forever live on in our hearts. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Christ Presbyterian Church (6901 Normandale Road, Edina, MN 55435). Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am, with a luncheon to follow. The service will be livestreamed and will be viewable at www.cpcedina.org/memorials.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Presbyterian Church or Anselm House at the University of Minnesota in Rob's memory.
