Richard Michael Ziegler, affectionately known as Rich, passed away on April 7, 2026. Born on September 26, 1981, in Plainfield, New Jersey, Rich grew into a smart, loyal, and witty individual who never failed to light up a room with his good-natured humor.

Rich was a man of many passions and talents. He was a dedicated police officer for more than two decades, serving his community in Denver, Colorado mostly with the Airport Department, with unflagging loyalty and generosity. He was an avid fan of his Ford Ranger, finding joy in every hum of the engine and every mile on the open road and on the trails. His love for off-roading was a testament to his adventurous spirit, while his skills in competitive long-distance shooting were a testament to his remarkable focus and precision. But no matter the venture, his approach was always the same – full of wit, laughter, and an insatiable zest for life.

What mattered most to Rich, however, was his beloved wife Cassondra. They were inseparable since their marriage on April 26, 2013, their love story was one for the ages. He is also survived by his sister, Katie Ziegler, his father, Richard Ziegler, and his mother, Margaret Ziegler. His memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire the lives he touched.

A Memorial Service for Rich will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Eisenhower Chapel, 293 Roslyn Street, Denver, CO 80230.
