Born in Ogden, UT, USA in 1957, Michael spent his prime years in Arvada, Colorado, where he was a respected figure, known for his ambitious nature and charismatic personality.

Michael was a pillar of dedication and compassion in his professional life. He devoted nearly four decades to public safety and law enforcement, serving the Colorado Department of Public Safety until his retirement in 2012. His commitment to keeping his community safe was unparalleled, and his feats are etched in the hearts of those he served. As Helen Keller said, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Michael's service was one such beautiful thing that touched the hearts of many.

His love for his family was another testament to his compassionate nature. He was deeply loved by his wife of 48 years, Lorraine Padilla. Michael was a beacon of love and strength for his family, providing them with unwavering support and filling their lives with joy. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Eddie Padilla and Emilia Galvan.
