Obituary

The world has lost a dash of spice and everything nice with the departure of the inimitable Kimberly Ann Henderson, who left the building on May 15, 2024. Born on August 21, 1962, in Denver, CO, the charismatic and compassionate Kimberly had been a vibrant part of our lives for 61 years. Or, as Kimberly would have put it, "61 years of fabulous adventures, darling!" A natural-born Denverite, she considered the city her personal kingdom, and the people, her loyal subjects.

Kimberly was a woman of many talents, but her charm truly shone as a healthcare provider. Fiercely empathetic, she handled her profession like a queen handles her crown - with grace, dignity, and a heaping dose of spirit. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) by trade, but in her heart, she was the chief comfort officer for the world. Her career in healthcare was her stage, and she played her role with the dedication of an Oscar-winning actress. As the famous Mary Poppins quote goes, "In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun." And Kimberly lived by this mantra, making every day a little brighter and every heart a little lighter.

Surviving Kimberly is her son Kristopher, and son-in-law Wayne, who she loved more than her favorite sitcoms and an extra shot of espresso. Her two leading men were the heart of all her stories, the punchline of her jokes, and the inspiration for her compassionate spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Eleanor Henderson, who we imagine are now rolling their eyes lovingly at her latest wisecrack. Kimberly was the glue that held her family together, the laughter that echoed through their home, and the love that will continue to live on in their hearts.

Kimberly lived authentically, loved deeply, and laughed loudly. She was a friend to all, a stranger to none, and a mother to not just her son, but to anyone in need of a little TLC. In honor of Kimberly, let's continue her legacy of love and laughter. Please share your favorite memories, anecdotes, and photos of Kimberly on her memorial page. Let's remember her as she was - a compassionate soul, a spirited personality, and a dose of laughter that the world so dearly needs.
