Obituary

Keith H. Jackson age 60 passed away peacefully on June 11, 2023, after a long struggle with heart disease. Keith had an amazing life. His Journey began on July 30, 1962 in Albany, New York and was the first born of Albert and Dorothy Jackson. His family relocated to Los Angeles California where Keith attended St Bernadette Catholic School for his elementary years, then continued on to Paul Revere Jr. High School and Palisades High School. But his journey did not stop in California. One more family move brought them all to Denver Colorado, where Keith completed his high school education and graduated from Aurora Hinkley High School. He was a proud Thunderbird. There is where he began a life long journey of meeting friends and having adventures that lasted through out his adult life. Keith's chosen profession was to bring joy to others and he remained steadfast in accomplishing this through out his life. Keith was a professional in the Restaurant and Night Club industry working as a Bartender and Bar Manager at some of the most enjoyable establishments in Denver, Colorado.

During his high school years, Keith played on the varsity teams for Hinkley, basketball being his favorite, he also ran track and cross country. Through out high school and his life he was affectionately called by his initials 'KJ'. He lettered in all 3 sports and wore his letter jacket proudly. Keith continued on to college and attended Metro State in Denver, Colorado. Another one of his passions was art and Keith was a very talented artist. His passion for detail made him an accomplished architectural and automotive design stylist.

Known for his love of DC comics and super heroes, he not only was greatly fond of the Batman, he was also known as 'the Batman.' Keith accumulated a massive collection of Batman collectables. He wore these items proudly from clothing, watches, tennis shoes, you name it, he had it. He was an avid reader, but of course preferred graphic novels and comic books over any other form of reading entertainment. Keith loved adventure and shared many good times with his closest friends exploring the state of Colorado. From skiing to pick up basketball games, he was always ready to go.

Keith made Denver his home and loved the city and all his friends with great passion. He became an avid Bronco, Nuggets and Rockies fan, collecting all kinds of sports collectables of his home teams. He enjoyed sports greatly with his family and friends. But his love for sports did not just stop on the courts or fields. One of his idols was Muhammad Ali. He enjoyed watching Boxing with his Dad. One of Ali's famous quotes became a way of life for Keith, and he lived this quote to its fullest. "Don't count the days; make the days count."

Keith was a very kind hearted person. He loved life and it loved him back. Keith is survived by his sister Kimberly Jackson and many, many friends whom he considered as family.

There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial for Keith being held Sunday June 18, 2023 at Reivers Bar and Grill located at 1085 South Gaylord Street, Denver, Colorado 80209 starting at 2pm - until. https://reiversbarandgrill.com
