Kathleen
Dawkins
Dec 17, 1968 — Sep 5, 2024
Kathleen Dawkins, a compassionate, resilient, and thoughtful woman, left a profound impact on the lives of everyone she encountered. Born on December 17, 1968 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kathleen was known for her funny and energetic personality that could light up a room. She carried this charisma throughout her life, from her childhood in Colorado to her later years in Connecticut. Her infectious laughter, selfless generosity, loving compliments, and thoughtful encouragement will be etched in our memories forever.
Kathleen was a woman of many talents and accomplishments. She ventured into various careers, from being a dental assistant and nail salon business founder in Connecticut to becoming a full-time mother. Kathleen's thirst for knowledge led her to obtain an Associate's Degree from Naugatuck Valley Community College, which propelled her into roles with The Hartford, the Meriden Board of Education, and the Better Business Bureau. Upon returning to Colorado in 2017, Kathleen continued to utilize her skills and knowledge, providing IT consultant services for small businesses, the Cherry Creek School District, and ultimately as a Transportation Network Company (TNC) Driver. Despite her numerous professional accolades, Kathleen always found time for her passions, such as gardening, cooking, and making art. Her love for learning and teaching, especially about herbs and nutrition, was evident in her life.
Kathleen lived her life with a heart full of faith, always ready to share an uplifting conversation about her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her spirit of love will continue in the lives of her family and friends. Kathleen is survived by her grandmother Domie Ortega, parents Alvin (Carla) Hill and Evangeline (Jon) Rarick; her children, Kirsten Dawkins, Kamrin Dawkins, and Kaeden Carney; her brother Tyrone (Eridani) Hill; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Dorothy Hill, grandfather Allen Hill, and brother Alvin Stribling Hill Jr.
We invite you to leave memories and upload photos to Kathleen's memorial page as a tribute to her vibrant life. Her legacy lives on in all of us, and we hope her story continues to inspire and touch lives for years to come.
