Donald Dean Winfrey, cherished brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on November 12, 2024, at the age of 67 at his home in Denver Colorado. He was born on May 27, 1957, to Ben Winfrey and Marjorie Yeager in La Junta Colorado. He grew up on a farm in La Junta and attended La Junta Senior High School where he graduated in 1975. Don or Donnie to his friends and family worked for the state of Colorado in Denver for nearly 30 years until his retirement in 2024. He was a devout Christian and enjoyed reading the bible. He was also a computer enthusiast and avid collector of clocks.

Donnie is survived by his sisters Benna and Linda, brother Tom, nieces Michelle and Nikki, and nephews, Luke, Jason, and Eric as well as many great nieces and nephews. His mother and father preceded him. Donnie was a gentle soul and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. To lose a friend is the greatest loss.

Front Range Funeral in Denver Colorado is making arrangements and he will be laid to rest in La Junta.
