It is with sadness but joyous hope for the afterlife that we announce the passing of Denise Wynn Brooks, affectionately known to many as "Den", from this life on April 3rd, 2024. Born on June 6th, 1952 in Cincinnati, OH, Denise was a resilient and courageous woman, known for her infectious humor and loving nature. In her professional life, Denise was a dedicated accountant. In her personal life, she had a soft spot for caring for plants, swimming, and spending quality time with her friends at her retirement center. Denise, who resided in Denver, Colorado after retiring, loved her family, friends, and her beloved dog, Freddie. Her love was most profound for her daughter, Kate. Denise is survived by her brothers Jeffrey (Inge) Cook and Gary (YunHee) Cook; her sister, Casey (Daryl) Hayslip; her daughter, Kate (Cody) Burton; her nieces and nephews: Carly, Eric, Joshua, Emily, Abigail, Natalie, Sarah, Noah, and Ava; and many great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Richard and Marilyn Cook; her beloved grandmother, Esther Myers; and her sister and best friend, Vicki Speckert.

Denise's spirit will undoubtedly live on within the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. Until we meet again!
