Obituary

Alexia was born on April 5th, 1977, at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. She was the third child born to Landon D. Richmond Sr. and Carol Lucille Smith Richmond, the baby of her two older siblings Landon Jr. and Vincent. As a child Lexi developed a fondness for animals, a vivid imagination and many hours devoted to her family. Her unique abilities and curious desire to help others in need became a guiding light for her life. Lexi was a beautiful soul who enjoyed the small things in life and a love of animals, especially for cats. Her boisterous laugh and incredible singing could grab your attention from miles away. With her incredible ear for musical talent, she could mimic other entertainers or sound better than what she heard. Lexi's knack for love, affection and fun never missed a beat in growing up. She participated in sports such as basketball, softball, and volleyball. She also played in the band during her elementary and middle school years. Interestingly enough, she chose the flute and the beautiful harmonic sound gave rise to her sweet piercing voice when she sang. Lexi enjoyed playing outside during most of her childhood years growing up in the country. Although she was very much a "girl", she would enjoy catching frogs, grasshoppers, and any other critters that came along in her everyday adventures! Lexi embraced being the baby and had two loving and protective brothers to make sure no one "messed" with their sister! Always being an active participant in yearly Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, she met it with appreciation and excitement to experience the loving presence of her family. Her specialty was green bean casserole and we so anticipated getting ready to devour that dish! Lexi graduated from Hinkley High School with exceptional grades in 1995. She attended Colorado State University that same year. Not fully decided on her academic aspirations, she went on to pursue individualized attention in home health care as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Lexi eventually became a care provider and took deep satisfaction in helping others and listening to their nostalgic reminiscent stories of their past. Lexi was a true version of someone who wanted the best things in life. Her middle brother would tell her stories just to hear her laugh. It worked! Lexi will be dearly missed. She is survived by her brothers Landon Jr. (Doni) and Vincent; niece Flossie and nephews Stefan, Zacqariah and Zavier; and numerous family members.
